YES! You Can Paint! Join us in the greenhouse & discover the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands! Join local artist Kelly Beyer for a relaxed, hands-on oil painting workshop where you’ll bring a luminous ocean scene to life, featuring a sailboat gliding across shimmering blue water.
No previous painting experience is necessary! Your canvas will be lightly sketched with the sailboat in advance, so you can feel confident getting started. With step-by-step guidance in a friendly, encouraging setting, you’ll explore rich colors, practice expressive brushstrokes, and learn how to blend a luminous sky, build depth in the water, and add beautiful reflections that bring your painting to life.
Oil paints are wonderfully forgiving, allowing you to blend, soften, layer, and reshape your work as you go. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or simply looking to try something new, this workshop is all about enjoying the creative process, learning at your own pace, and discovering what you can create.
All supplies are provided, and you’ll leave with your own 11” x 14” finished oil painting to proudly display or share with someone special.
Bring a friend or come solo! Meet fellow beginners, enjoy a memorable creative evening, and let your artistic side shine. We recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting paint on. B.Y.O. favorite sip, and we’ll provide light refreshments to keep you inspired while you create.
Arrive Early & Enjoy the Gardens! Doors open 30 minutes before the workshop begins, giving you time to settle in and get ready for a fun evening. As our thank-you for joining us, you'll receive 15% off purchases in our Home & Gift Store and Nursery.
Photography Notice: To celebrate and share the creativity of our workshops, photos and short video clips may be taken during this event for promotional, website, and social media purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let the instructor know upon arrival, and we will gladly respect your wishes.
Accessibility Notice: Please note that some workshops are held on the second floor and are accessible only by stairs. If this may present a challenge for you, please contact us before registering at office@southstreetgardens.com.
