Moss & Mingle: Create a Moss Purse Workshop - Wednesday, August 19, 6pm - 8pm
Create a one-of-a-kind botanical handbag you’ll treasure for years to come.
Turn heads with a fashion statement that's as bold as it is botanical! Join us for this unique hands-on workshop where you'll design and create your own preserved & functional moss purse using sustainably sourced moss and beautiful preserved flowers.
Guided by Nicole Kelly of The Moss Society, you'll learn techniques for designing a stunning botanical accessory that combines art, nature, and fashion. Because the moss and flowers are preserved, your finished purse requires no watering, sunlight, or ongoing maintenance—making it a lasting keepsake you can proudly display or carry for special occasions.
No previous experience is necessary. Whether you're looking for a creative night out, a unique gift-making experience, or simply love all things botanical or fashionable, this workshop is sure to inspire.
Adults and Children 13+ with a registered adult are welcome.
Arrive Early & Enjoy the Gardens! Doors open 30 minutes before the workshop begins, giving you plenty of time to settle in, browse, and get inspired. As a thank-you for joining us, workshop participants receive 15% off purchases in our Home & Gift Store and Nursery on the day of the event.
Photography Notice: To celebrate and share the creativity of our workshops, photos and short video clips may be taken during this event for promotional, website, and social media purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let the instructor know upon arrival, and we will gladly respect your wishes.
Accessibility Notice: Please note that some workshops are held on the second floor and are accessible only by stairs. If this may present a challenge for you, please contact us before registering at office@southstreetgardens.com.
About Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole, an artist, designer, and nature enthusiast who finds beauty in the details of both art and life. With a background in Fine Art, 3D Design, and Landscape Design, I’ve spent years exploring how creativity and nature can come together to inspire connection, calm, and curiosity.
The Moss Society grew from my love of connecting people through creative experiences. I believe art doesn’t just belong in galleries; it belongs in our hands, on our tables, and in the shared laughter of a night out. Hosting Moss & Mingle events allows me to merge everything I love: design, texture, storytelling, and community.
Each workshop is an invitation to slow down, play, and create something meaningful. I’m endlessly inspired by the natural world, the shapes of leaves, the calm of green spaces, and how art can remind us to look closer at the beauty around us.
At its heart, The Moss Society is more than an event; it’s a movement toward creativity, connection, and joy. I’m so glad you’re here to be part of it.
