Hand Embroidery | Personalized Dinner Napkins: Saturday April 25th 1-3pm @ South Street Gardens, Morristown, NJ

$75.00

Think embroidery is just for pristine pillowcases and stiff samplers? Think again! We’re taking this heritage craft and giving it the Sharp & Social treatment by bringing it to the dinner table.

Whether you haven’t held a needle since Home Ec class or you’re just looking for a creative escape from your screens, this workshop is your perfect starting point for a more intentional home.

The Project:

In this 2-hour session, we will guide you through a relaxed, modern introduction to hand embroidery. We’ll be stitching a custom monogram with botanical motif onto a high-quality linen dinner napkin. This single napkin serves as your "master class" piece—once you've finished it, you'll have the skills and the pattern to complete a full, matching set for your own table at home.

We will have sets (3 & 5) of additional napkins to purchase day of, so you can create the matching set!

What We’ll Cover:

We provide everything you need to go from a blank piece of fabric to a finished piece of functional art.

  • The Foundations: How to properly "dress" your hoop, transfer patterns to fine linens, and prep your floss for a professional, snag-free finish.

  • The Library of Stitches: You’ll master the Backstitch, Stem Stitch, Satin Stitch, and the French Knot—the essential building blocks for elegant, personalized linens.

What's Included:

Your ticket includes a full beginner kit designed to help you finish your set:

  •  A premium linen dinner napkin.

  •  A reusable wooden embroidery hoop.

  •  A curated palette of premium embroidery floss & needles.

  •  A needle minder and an instructional guide with patterns for your future napkins.

The Vibe

We provide the supplies, the guidance, and the atmosphere—you just provide the hands.

  •  Flying Solo? Please do! Many of our attendees come on their own to meet new friends, though stitching with a bestie is always welcome, too.

  •  Age Requirement: This workshop is for adults and teens 16+. For safety reasons, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Who We Are: Our Philosophy

At Sharp & Social, we believe that making things with your hands is good for the brain, but making them with friends is good for the soul. In a world that is increasingly digital and disconnected, we wanted to build a space where creativity and community intersect.

We founded this club on a simple premise: we all need a place to disconnect from our screens and reconnect with each other. Whether you are here to master a complex stitch, find a moment of quiet on a Saturday morning, or simply have a laugh while your hands are busy, you have a seat at our table.

We take our craft seriously, but never ourselves. Come get sharp with us.
