Oil paints are wonderfully forgiving, allowing you to blend, soften, layer, and reshape your work as you go. Working from a reference landscape photograph, you’ll begin with delicate, translucent layers, build rich color and depth, and finish with lively brushstrokes that bring atmosphere and movement to your painting.
Perfect for beginners and anyone new to oil painting, this relaxed workshop offers plenty of guidance in a friendly, encouraging setting. No previous painting experience is necessary.
All supplies are provided. Just come ready to create, enjoy the process, and leave with a 9” x 12” finished oil painting you’ll be proud to take home.
Bring a friend or come solo! We recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting paint on. Bring Your Own Sip – and we’ll provide light refreshments to keep you inspired while you create.
Arrive Early & Enjoy the Gardens! Doors open 30 minutes before the workshop begins, giving you time to settle in and get ready for a fun evening. As our thank-you for joining us, you'll receive 15% off purchases in our Home & Gift Store and Nursery. Since the workshop takes place after regular business hours, you may redeem your discount during business hours through the Sunday following this workshop.

About Kelly Beyer
Kelly is a New Jersey–based oil painter. After an extensive career in the corporate world, she made the decision to pursue a full-time career in what has always grounded her – art. She creates art that celebrates the relationship between nature, the structures we build, and the stories that live there. Blending Realism with Impressionism, Kelly creates artwork that evokes not only a sense of place, but also emotion. Her goal is to invite the viewer to pause, breathe in and experience not an ordinary world but an extraordinary world.
